There is no single international application deadline. Dates vary by institution, programme, study level and visa route, so use this guide to begin early and confirm the final date on the institution’s own website.
Plan backwards from your preferred intake
Begin course research around 9–12 months before classes where possible. Leave time for English testing, academic documents, references, offers, financial preparation and the student-visa or Student Pass process.
- UK: September or October is the largest intake; selected courses also begin in January. For the 2027 UCAS undergraduate cycle, applications opened on 12 May 2026, submission opened on 1 September 2026, the early deadline is 15 October 2026 and the main equal-consideration deadline is 13 January 2027. Course exceptions apply.
- Australia: February or March and July are common starting periods; availability and deadlines vary by provider and course.
- New Zealand: February and July are common university starting periods, with programme-specific exceptions. INZ advises applying at least three months before intended travel and specifically asks applicants from Bangladesh to apply early. For a late-February 2027 start or travel date, target a complete visa application by late November 2026; work from the student’s exact travel date.
- Canada: September is a common start, while January, May and other dates depend on the institution and programme. Confirm the exact intake, designated learning institution status and any provincial or territorial attestation letter timing before applying.
- Malaysia: institutions may offer several intakes across the year. Confirm the exact university intake and current Student Pass timeline before applying.
A sensible 2027 sequence
- Shortlist courses and check entry requirements.
- Confirm the institution deadline and whether applications use a central system or direct portal.
- Book any required English test with enough time for a retake.
- Prepare transcripts, certificates, passport, references and statements.
- Review an offer carefully before paying a deposit.
- Start visa or Student Pass preparation only from current official instructions.
